Chase leads America Forward’s economic mobility and social innovation work, and supports policy development and engagement across the organization’s issue areas.
Chase’s commitment to advancing policies that strengthen equity and expand opportunity, in particular through evidence-based programs and innovation led by proximate leaders, led him to New Profit and America Forward. Chase previously worked at Arnold Ventures, where he managed initiatives working to expand the use of evidence and outcomes-based financing across policy domains, along with policy development, advocacy, and research aiming to strengthen quality in postsecondary education and to identify and scale effective student success programs. He has also served as a policy advisor and analyst at the U.S. Department of Education, U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development, and the White House Domestic Policy Council. As a federal staffer, he coordinated reforms and partnerships at the intersection of policy, research, and social innovation, including implementing the Every Student Succeeds Act’s groundbreaking evidence provisions.
Chase earned a JD from Yale Law School and a BA in Classics and Economics from Washington University in St. Louis.
