“President Joe Biden’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2024 budget request reflects an important focus on investments in education and economic mobility that will support the health and wellbeing of individuals, families, and communities across America.
We are pleased to see the Administration’s request for increased funding at the Departments of Education, Labor, Commerce, and Health and Human Services in several specific areas that are critically important to members of the America Forward Coalition and the communities they serve. These include more resources for early education, full-service community schools, mental health resources and supports, postsecondary education, workforce development, national service, and civic engagement.
Greater investment in all of these areas is vital to giving every student the best opportunity to learn and develop; to supporting families, educators, and staff; and to creating strong, equitable pathways into the workforce for everyone in America.
We look forward to advocating alongside our Coalition partners for these essential investments as Congress takes up the President’s budget.”
