Aliento

The choices that leaders at all levels of government make now will play a major role in shaping our post-COVID-19 world. For our young people – whose futures will be most impacted by the pandemic – and especially those whose communities have traditionally been marginalized and excluded from participating in democracy, civic engagement has never been more important.

To expand the electorate and increase voter participation among young and Latinx voters, Aliento recently launched ALIENTO Votes, “a non-partisan campaign led by directly impacted youth leaders and allies who are committed to educating, exciting and engaging Undocumented and DACAmented volunteers and leaders who are impacted by this election.” The project aims to “engage, educate and mobilize 25,000 Arizona young and Latinx voters.”

America’s Promise Alliance

As students and young people across the country return to school or pursue careers — whether virtual, in-person, or a hybrid model — America’s Promise is prepared to help guide and support their community through the COVID-19 crisis. Through their Learning Library, America’s Promise “curates a high-quality and diverse set of resources and data related to children and youth,” featuring topics such as college and career, youth involvement, mentoring, health and wellness, family engagement, social emotional learning, and more — as well as timely and relevant case studies examining the impact of the pandemic and offering resources to navigate this difficult time.

Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH)

In response to the COVID-19 crisis, CSH has curated a database of information relevant to supportive housing providers, in an effort to help their community navigate the consequences of the pandemic on families and communities who rely on supportive housing. COVID-19 Resources & Guidance for Supportive Housing Providers includes key studies, federal policy and funding updates, and frameworks for both navigating the current crisis and building a more equitable future.

Social Impact Architects

To support their nonprofit community throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, Social Impact Architects created a Coronavirus Nonprofit Resource Center. The Resource Center features blog posts highlighting federal legislative updates, tips for navigating the pandemic, and free resources; as well as insights on advocacy, remote leadership, combating ‘Zoom fatigue,’ and more.

FUSE Corps

To tackle the challenges brought about by the COVID-19 crisis, FUSE Corps has convened “civic leaders, innovators, and issue area experts to identify and design solutions” that meet the moment, in a series of webinars and virtual discussions. To help support their community through this period, FUSE Corps has made the insights from these conversations available on their page, FUSE Roundtables: Solving COVID-19 Challenges. The conversations cover a range of topics, from an equitable recovery from the pandemic, to community policing during COVID-19, to the role of libraries in community resilience.
