Public Allies is changing the face and practice of leadership to meet demands of these changing times. Public Allies advances the leadership of diverse young adults through a 10-month program of full-time, paid apprenticeships in nonprofit organizations, complemented by leadership training, and team service projects. Public Allies also operates a training and consulting practice to share its leadership model with others, and supports a network of thousands of alumni in their ongoing development.
Results
- More than 2,000 Allies have graduated from the program, having served 300,000 children, adults, and families at more than 550 nonprofit organizations. Eighty-two percent of Allies graduates continue on to careers in the nonprofit sector and public service.
- More than 90 percent of Allies have met or exceeded their service outcomes and objectives and 93 percent of Allies projects are sustained by their organizations.
