Juma Ventures empowers youth to make successful transitions to independence in adulthood through an innovative program that integrates employment in social enterprises with essential support services. Participants begin by creating a comprehensive plan that identifies goals and developmental needs with education, careers, financial literacy and savings, personal health and wellness, and other important life skills. This plans serves as a roadmap for each youth that personalizes their participation in the program. Juma participants learn these skills through their work in the enterprises that are both developed and operated by the organization. The combination of employment, support services, and supportive peer and adult relationships provide the foundation for youth to transcend challenging circumstances and successfully bridge the transition from high school to college and the workforce.
